Weibel Family 2010 Orange Muscat, Mendocino
Harvest & Tasting Notes
In 2010, Mendocino County experienced a very cool, long
growing season which allowed the county’s white grapes to
develop excellent flavors and complexity. Mendocino did not
suffer from excessive fog and wetness that caused concern in
other appellations and this delicate fruit was picked well
before the late October rains.
Orange Muscat is a rare Muscat varietal that is quickly
gaining in popularity. This exotic, slightly sweet and
refreshing wine comes from select vineyards in Mendocino. Weibel
Family 2010 Orange Muscat was cold fermented and aged in
stainless steel tanks to highlight the vibrant fruit flavors,
bright acidity and perfumed bouquet. When the fermenting wine
reached its optimum flavor profile, fermentation was arrested to
finalize the desired sweetness and mouthfeel.
Weibel Family Mendocino Orange Muscat is a delightful
semi-sweet wine with intriguing notes of lychee, damask rose and
mango. Enjoy on its own, with fresh fruit, or paired with
pastries and desserts. Enjoy served cold, through 2012.
