Wings of an angel honored as Stocktonian of the Year

STOCKTON — Fred Weibel appeared stunned as dozens of people clapped and cheered.

He had just finished reading the large, engraved wine glass that proclaimed him the 2016 Stocktonian of the Year.

A look of befuddlement came over him and he softly said, “Wow. Wow.”
